Archbishop Palma said the prayer to be recited during all Masses was written following unprecedented flash floods that hit the central Philippine cities of Mandaue and Cebu last month. “This is a wake-up call for all of us and has compelled us to undertake emergency measures to deal with natural calamities if they happen again,” the archbishop said.
