Ecumenical study center director in Pakistan dies

PAKISTAN: Catholics are mourning the death of Mehboob Sada, director of the Ecumenical Christian Study Center in Rawalpindi. Sada, 63, died  on Jan. 13. He had been battling leukemia. “He worked for Christians in difficult situation like the northern province which has been dealing with insurgency for years,” said Sister Athens Angeles, from the Daughters of St. Paul congregation in Islamabad-Rawalpindi diocese. Sada served the center for 24 years, nine as its director. He worked on various issues such as Islamization and its impact on women and minorities and Christian-Muslim relations. PA12851.1636
