Representatives of the Korean Conference on Religion and Peace have said they agreed with counterparts in the North to hold regular meetings following a three day trip to Pyongyang that ended on the weekend. Archbishop Hyginus Kim Hee-joong of Gwangju, president of the KCRP and a member of the delegation, made the announcement following the group’s return on September 24 after a four-day visit. “We agreed to meet North Korea’s religious people once a year either in North or South Korea,” the prelate said. He added that the delegation met Kim Yong-nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly and “had a sincere conversation about unification of the two Koreas.” Related reports: Religious leaders visit North Korea
