Court says ex-president must testify

A court today denied the petition of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to dismiss a civil suit concerning unresolved killings and alleged human rights abuses against a religious group during her administration. A judge in Quezon City ordered her to answer a complaint filed by the United Church of Christ in the Philippines through its head Bishop Reuel Marigza and relatives of the alleged victims of extra-judicial killings.
