Cathedral to close for repairs

The Archdiocese of Manila plans to temporarily closing Manila Cathedral for around one year from April to undergo repairs and restoration. The restoration process will  include soil improvement to prevent liquefaction in case of earthquake or strong typhoon. The repair work is expected to cost about 120 million pesos (about US$2.8 million).
