Every Pentecostal Sunday, the altar boys distribute card doves at the end of the Mass. Each of the multicolored doves has one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit inscribed on it. More than 1,000 doves were given out at the conclusion of the liturgy on Sunday.
“Close your eyes and pick a dove. It will guide you throughout the year – and no peeking”, instructed Vicar- General Father Andrew Nisari instructed parishioners.
“Catholics take these gifts as a reassurance. They need help from the Holy Spirit to cope with extremism and terrorism,” Father Nisari said.
