Ordination opens ways for cooperation
A Korean delegation attended the priestly ordination of Prabesh Paschal Rangsa in Mymensingh diocese in a show of solidarity with the new cleric.
Father Rangsa, who completed his post-doctoral work in theology in Korea, was ordained by Holy Cross Bishop Ponen Paul Kubi at St Teresa’s Catholic Church in Bhalukapara on Friday.
A member of the Korean delegation said Fr Rangsa’s dedication to the Church and his command of the Korean language inspired them to visit Bangladesh for his ordination.
“This visit opened the way for us to learn about traditional Garo culture. We have learned how enriched they are culturally and how simple and generous in heart,” said Fr Lee Kyong-lyol.
“We hope this occasion will strengthen our ongoing good relationship and unity, and also will foster spiritual development for the faithful in both churches.”
