Caritas ‘helps improve human life’
Caritas Internationalis secretary general Michel Roy, visiting Bangladesh last weekend, said the body’s local arm has been helping people stamp out poverty and improving human life.
Roy’s visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation and communications between the Caritas federation (http://www.caritas.org/) and the local Caritas organisation.
“Caritas in Bangladesh has pioneered empowerment of marginalized people through creating employment. It can be a good example for other countries,” Roy said.
