Minister calls for Catholic development
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Maria Elka Pangestu, has called on members of the Catholic Professionals and Businessmen to foster development in East Nusa Tenggara province.
“This predominantly Catholic province needs strong businessmen who always prioritize Christian values in their businesses,” Pangestu said at a meeting held yesterday in Kupang, the provincial capital.
The province has many business opportunities in different sectors including tourism, fishery and maritime, agriculture and animal husbandry.
“It is time for local businessmen to leave behind their habit of waiting for projects from the government. They must develop their own businesses and be more creative.”
