Bishop says president is failing

President Aquino distributes relief goods to flood victims in Manila on June 25.
Retired Archbishop Oscar Cruz said President Benigno Aquino has nothing to show for his first year in office as the concerns of the people have been neglected since he became head of state.
“The people of the Philippines have many aspirations for themselves and their country, for their families, their community and society as a whole. There is not simply so much wanting but also so much wrong all over the land,” Cruz said.
He said the justice system was just one example of why Filipinos think the present government has failed to deliver on its promises.
A Social Weather Stations survey released yesterday showed 68 percent of Filipinos were unsure if Aquino will succeed or fail in his six-year administration.
