App developer Heuristic Apps has released the latest version of its Virtual Rosary application for Ipod,Ipad and Iphones developed by students at the University of Caloocan in Manila.

Version 1.5 provides many improvements over previous versions, the developer company says in a statement.

The application contains a full international catholic calendar, automatic mystery selection, a choice of rosary beads, prayers, confessions, images and artwork, bibles, bible study programs, faith tests and more.

According to the developers, the app “conveniently makes a lot of catholic information and content available where ever you are”.

Unique to the Virtual Rosary Suite is the integration of social networking allowing users to show friends how much rosary or bible study they are doing each day, their Faith test scores and more. The app puts back fun into learning religion for the younger generations.

Developed by undergraduates from the University of Caloocan in Manila the application works in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. Support for more languages is planned.

Version 2 is already in development and the Philippine developers studying in the worlds second largest Catholic country have no shortage of new features and ideas to promote interest in their chosen Catholic faith using social networking and popular gadgets.
