YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia (UCAN) – More than 500 children and teenagers from 20 of the 30 parishes in the vicariate of Yogyakarta attended a Mass on May 2, launching a liturgy catechesis month.

Seven priests, including vicar episcopal Father Bernardus Saryanto, concelebrated the Mass in the compound of Kanisius Publishing House in Yogyakarta.

The theme of the Mass was “Let’s thank God through the Eucharist.”

“In line with the theme of our novena this week, which is ‘Thanking God for evangelization through educational, health and social works, let us give thanks to God for all the joy and friendship that we may feel right now,” Father Saryanto told the children.

Father Saryanto also asked the children to attend the Eucharist services regularly.
