Correction for SG06573 of Feb. 2, 2009 (Canossians walk with the times …)

Published Date: February 5, 2009

The report incorrectly stated that the Canossian sisters have been running Villa Francis Home for the Aged since 2001. The Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood withdrew from running the home in 2001, but it was under a lay administrator until 2006, when the Canossians were asked to take over.

Paragraph 5 should read:

Sister Tan is one of three local Canossians celebrating 50 years as nuns this year. Their congregation has been running Villa Francis Home for the Aged since 2006. The home was started in 1978 by the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood, who withdrew from running the home in 2001, after which it was run by a lay administrator until the Canossians were asked to take over.
